It's true that a state of mind will stave off the pains and limitations of aging. But it is also true that...
You Are What You Eat!
That is not to say that we should eat our young to stay young [smirk], but truly when you look at the organs that function less efficiently as we get older, there are ways to nurture those organs (liver & pancreas) with food. I discovered this in my mid-fifties when I was a) tiring [literally] of the effects of aging and b) diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I'm in my sixties and have not only staved off the effects of aging (including joint pain), but have regained the functionality I had in my late thirties. I even control my blood sugar without medication. But enough of that for now. Below this picture of me eating healthy is a list of food. Simple as that. If you want to know why this works read beyond the list.
Foods You Must Eat
Make sure you eat the following foods on a daily basis:
- Avocados
- Blueberries
- Peanuts
- Other nuts and legumes are good, but peanuts are the best
- Spinach
- Kale
- Honey
- Broccoli
- Lemon Juice (squeezed from lemon to avoid additives)
- Oatmeal
- An Apple (Ben Franklin wasn't lying)
- I grate an apple in my oatmeal rather than use sugar to sweeten it
- Fish!
- Mercury free (So not too much from the Great Lakes
Foods To Avoid
- Alcohol (at least limit and moderate)
- Do you really need to be told that his is hard on the liver and pancreas
- Starch! NO STARCH. This means avoiding
- Potatoes
- Sweet potatoes have benefits that mitigate eating some
- Rice.
- Bread
- It's not about the carbs. It's the starch that is hard on the liver and pancreas
- Potatoes
- Meat (beef, chicken, lamb, pig, goat, etc...)
- Much of this has to do with the estrogen introduced during production. Ingested Estrogen is very hard on the pancreas
- All cow dairy
- Again this relates to the elevated estrogen levels found even in organic cow dairy due to the cows having to be perpetually pregnant in order to lactate
- Sheep and Goat dairy has less estrogen because sheep and goat will lactate for months after delivery. You need some dairy for the calcium.
Why This Works: Testosterone
Women: Don't feel left out. Testosterone is the key for both men and women! In men 95% of testosterone is generated in the testes and 5% is generated in the liver. In women all if their testosterone is generated in the liver (starting to see the connection), though it is equal to the same amount as men generate in their livers.
Testosterone is the hormone of youth and vitality. It's why younger people have more energy, ambition and yes stronger sex drives. The testosterone generated in the liver drives women's libidos the same as the testosterone drives men's libidos. Handy, cause if you try eating the foods in the must have list and avoid those in the avoid list, you can use your libido as a gauge for how well your pancreas and liver is functioning, besides wouldn't it be nice to have your love life be what it was when you were younger. Besides libido, testosterone is related to weight loss, muscle mass and and even depression in both men and women.

A Matter Of Choice
In a world of so much fear and stress, it is easy to take comfort in food, yet wouldn't it be nice to choose less food comfort for less pain and perhaps even heightened spiritual connection to at least one other vis-a-vis physical intimacy. Put down that fork take each other in arms, not for some mutual race toward orgasm, but in a manner that enhances psychic entanglement (enmeshing of Kundalini if you will). Make out instead take out!
